Traci Hutton, Tightly Wound Artist

I grew up in the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada. My love of costumes verses fashion took over my creative side at the time I had the opportunity to work backstage and dress showgirls and "stars."

Later, I moved to Dallas, Texas, to complete a degree in Fashion & Costume Design. With all of that behind me, I moved forward and have had the job of a lifetime... making clothes and costumes for a large purple dinosaur and his three little friends.

During my span of working in childrens' television, I have received a DayTime Emmy and have just learned I've been nominated for another in 2008.

The constant has been fabric

2 devils and 1 bat

My life has always been on the creative side. I have dabbled in this and that and fabric has always been a constant. For the longest time I have wanted to make dolls and finally am doing that.

Belonging to several art groups - including the Dallas Area Fiber Artists - which connects me to many talented women, has helped to keep and expand my creative energy. This is where art-T-dolls first came to be. With the encouragement of friends and family I continue with hopes of making people smile with my work.
